…what’s going on with the tree outside the Library entrance. It’s a hornbeam tree and is having its roots trimmed this week in preparation for its relocation later in the year as part of the library extension build. Trimming the roots in advance makes the move easier and is better for the tree. It won’t be moved far – only a few metres further north - but because it’s a memorial tree we want to make sure it’s properly protected from the effects of the build.
